Mahathir Backs EGM Move
Former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said he supports the proposal by Gua Musang Member of Parliament Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah that Umno call for an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) on May 11.
He said the EGM was necessary to discuss the reasons why the Barisan Nasional (BN) led by Umno had lost the two-third majority and its defeat in five states in the recent general election.
He claimed that many people, including Umno members, had voted for the opposition not because they supported the opposition, but because they did not like the Umno leadership.

The ONLY and TRUE reason why Tun Mahathir supports the calling for the EGM, is for the members present to pass a resolution to get PM Abdullah OFF the President chair of UMNO. And trust me, if the EGM does go through, it shall (the resolution) happened.
