Najib Tun Razak: The Next Prime Minister?
All focus so far has been on Abdullah Badawi and his empty promises, sleepy dreams and schemes. Badawi is the butt of our jokes—Jon Stewart style— and criticisms. What about this man, Najib Tun Abdul Razak (below in great glasses)? Do you think he will make a good Prime Minister? What has been his track record?
Najib is certainly a very ambitious man, and thinks he is the man who deserves the job, not the incumbent. Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad believes so too and has said it publicly. Badawi is supposed to be just a one term Prime Minister, said the Tun. Let us make sure that will happen, but do you seriously want a Najib-led government? He is no Tun Abdul Razak, his late father who I admire for his rural and land development programmes including FELDA, and enlightened foreign policy.
